The Matroosberg Mountain
From the mountain road (access only by 4x4) a beautiful panoramic view over the Warm Bokkeveld, Ceres, Droë Hoek, Koue Bokkeveld and the Ceres Karoo can be enjoyed. From Matroosberg Peak you have a wonderful view of the mountains of the Western Cape.
Many other mountain peaks can be identified, such as the Witzenberg, Cedarberg and Du Toitskloof mountains. The Groothoekkloof, with its dazzling height and rock cliffs, also presents you with a breathtaking view.
Houserules
- NO MUSIC
- No smoking in any of the accommodation
- Quad bikes and bikes - no driving anywhere close to any accommodation
- NO REVVING / DOUGHNUTS
- Fires only in fireplaces
- Sigaret butts - no litterting of sigarette butts anywhere in the reserve
- Do not litter
- Because of our farm animals and game we can unfortunately not allow any pets
- Speed limit throughout the reseve is 20km on the roads and 10km/h in and around accommodation or where people and children walk/play
